Harold W. Fraley |
On February 24th 2019 my daddy took his last breath. He had fought for so long 10+ years. He was the absolute strongest person I know, he will always be my hero and we all miss and love him very very much! I just hope that they can find a cure for pulmonary fibrosis so that another family don’t go thru the same thing I did.

‘Dottie’ was a long time friend. She was upbeat and friendly to all that she came in contact with. She will be sorely missed by her husband, daughters and their families. Dottie was a ray of hope and dignity to all that she came in contact with. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother always cherishing the time spent with family. Rest in peace in Christ’s abiding love.

Marsha Cooper |
Marsha, your courage & strength will be missed by all who knew you-especially those in the Houston Area PF Support Group. Your candor & determined spirit will be remembered as a breath of fresh air when the cumulative stories of pain caused by this disease might start to weigh the spirit down. |

Jan K. Orndorff |
It’s been over 2 1/2 years since we’ve lost Jan, but her memory is still as close as today- for her husband/’partner’, family & friends, especially for her grandchildren that she loved so dearly. But her spirit also lives on in the continuing charity & support group she set up for caring for her fellow PF patients that still need the understanding, empathy for shared anxieties & challenges, & sometimes a little help with getting the O2 equipment they need for one less stress in their in their lives. She said it so well: “We can’t add years to their lives, but we hope to add some life to their years”. Jan- Your candle did not flicker & go out; It still glows in so many hearts. |

James Angier Martin, Jr. |
Jim was more than our brother-in-law, he was more like our brother. Not only was he always happy but brought much joy and happiness to our family. We all loved him dearly and was very blessed to have him become a part of our lives. He was a wonderful man, husband to my sister, Gloria, and a good father. He will be missed for the rest of our lives.

James Martin |
Jim, I feel lucky to have known you as a good friend. Yours & Gloria’s friendship was so important to me when IPF took the one that made my life whole, and when each of our other mutual friends have been lost to PF over the time I’ve known you-we propped each other up. You were a good man & your sense of humor will always be remembered, as will your caring for other PF patients. You were a symbol to them that ‘the numbers’ often quoted mean nothing-you had a good life in spite of the disease! You are remembered with respect. |

James A. Martin |
Jim was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2009. He had double lung transplant in November 2009.
It was like the Good Lord gave him a second chance at life. It gave him several good years with his families and friends.
We are very thankful for the PFA, support groups, families and friends for being there for Jim and all of us, most of all the donor.
Thank you PFA |

David Dean Chaffee |
My dad was diagnosed with IPF 12 years ago. He received a single lung transplant in June of 2012. He went on hospice in March of this year (2018) and passed away a month later, two months after his 65th birthday. We are grateful for the extra years and memories the transplant gave us. He was a wonderful man full of love and an adventurous spirit. I have learned many things from him and will chase after those adventures he taught me to desire! |

It is August 2017 and Jan has been gone from our lives for a year now, but her spirit of caring for PF Patients and her family & friends is still present and continues on through her Support Group and this charity, the PF Association. PF patients continue to receive emotional & informational support, and those in need still receive the equipment and oxygen supplies they need to battle this disease. This is what she wanted; but you are missed Jan. |

Gil will be remembered by many in the Support Group that he helped, and those that became his friends, and by nurses and doctors in the medical center where he received his lung transplant. It gave him 5 more years to love and enjoy his family and to continue helping PF patients through the Group and his work & participation in the PF Association. Gil was another that was taken too soon, but who will be remembered. |

3 years ago when my mom was diagnosed with this terrible disease, I had never heard of it. Within a year my mom went from an independent woman to not even being able to stand on her own. Taking care of her I saw how quickly and devastating it is. I pray for a cure for everyone living with this…..I miss my mom so much… |

Every Month of every year….. |
There are too many to list on given site |
I have personally known 45 people who have died from this diagnosis. I know many, many more still fighting the battle and accepting their diagnosis graciously still to this day. Almost all have a great sense of humility, work hard to raise awareness where they are and do all they can to bring a sense of enlightenment and hope for a better tomorrow. |

Beverly Hart |
Beverly was dx in 2003, after a misdiagnosis of COPD. Given 2 years to live, she lived 6 amazing years! She said “If I have 2 years to live, I am going to make it the best 2 years of my life.” She smiled every day & shared her smile with everyone. Her cup was always half full & her cloud always had a silver lining. Breathe freely mom/grandma. |

I pray that a cure will be found soon! |
